The injured CCG crew was air lifted to St. John's (right) and the Hudson has turned around and is heading towards Northern Flemish Cap to resume scientific operations.This next dive will take us up the steep slope of north-eastern Flemish Cap starting in 2500 m water depth and ending 6 km up-slope in 1400 m of water. This dive will finish on the cap and cross the boundery of a NAFO closure recently implemented to protect high concentrations of deep-sea sponge. Maps of the dive (2D and 3D) are provided (bottom).
